Landscape photography is a passion of mine, particularly the study of trees and woodland. I see my landscape work as an extension to my graphic design work; for me, landscape photography is about composition and structure. I don’t see subject, I see shapes, tones and elements to build into an image.

I earlier, more obvious work has given way to a more introspective vision, I like to work with subjects normally ignored - the grasses, twisted branches and scrubland.

My work has been exhibited alongside some of the most respected landscape photographers in the UK, I have presented many talks on my work and my book With Trees was published in 2013.
